We provide friendly and efficient support to Chameleon Mail clients via email and phone. Below are some frequently asked questions we hope can help you with the system.
How secure are my databases in Chameleon Mail?
Data Security : We comply with the Federal Privacy Act and the National Privacy Principles. Our software is constantly monitored and analyzed to provide optimal security and performance. All communication with our servers is carried out via SSL encryption.
Physical Security : Australia’s largest web hosting provider ensures our servers are physically secured behind several layers of protection, with the data centre being monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Authorised access is available only to dedicated team members with appropriate security clearance.
What’s involved in the trial account? Are there any restrictions?
The trial account is 30 days. You can use all functionality of the system during this time. There is a restriction of 250 emails sent during the 30 period.
Is Chameleon Mail difficult to use?
Chameleon Mail has been created to be easy to use, no matter what your level of email marketing experience. There is an abundance of video tutorials to help you through the set up. Our personalised support is always on hand via email or phone.
Can I set up my own newsletter template?
Absolutely. They are fully customizable. Chameleon Mail gives you a huge selection of templates to choose from. They range from blank templates to specific templates for Newsletters to Surveys and Announcements. We offer a Fast Track Setup as well if you want us to set it up for you.
Do I need to download Chameleon Mail to use it?
No. You just log in and away you go.
Can I attach files like PDF’s to my emails?
Sure can. Very simple and easy to do.
Can I create emails that include images and links?
Yes you can. You can insert images and links very easily.
Can I start using Chameleon Mail today?
Yes, you can start immediately. Upon registering you receive your log in details via an email and away you go.
Can I upload my own database easily?
You can upload you database from an excel or csv file. These files are easily exported from MS Outlook, Excel, Access and more.
What’s the benefit over sending my emails via Outlook or Gmail?
You can send professional looking emails, gather statistics and reports, Outlook and Gmail won’t allow bulk email sends, manage unsubscribers and bounces. You can design great looking HTML email templates, set up auto responders and very importantly you will achieve a higher success rate of emails actually getting through to the recipient.
Do you sell email lists?
No. We also do not suggest buying email lists as your details can be blacklisted and with spam compliance these days it is illegal to send emails to people who have not opted in.
Is Chameleon Mail only for Australian businesses?
No. Anyone can join from anywhere. That is the beauty of internet based services.
Can I store all my emails?
All your emails that you send will be stored and accessed anytime you need. You can send links of previously sent emails by using the unique URL of each email sent.
Can you help with my email marketing?
Web Chameleon can provide email marketing consultations and additional services such as campaign management.
How do I know how many emails got through and what does the reporting system show me?
With the reporting system inside Chameleon Mail you can see emails that have been opened, which links have been clicked through (CTR – Click Through Rate), the amount of times the email itself was opened, who opened the email and who didn’t, how many unsubscribed from the email, how many sent the email to a friend and much much more.
How do I set up my website so that I can collect new subscribers?
In Chameleon Mail you can set up a subscription form that can be imbedded into your website. In turn this will collect subscribers details and automatically add them to your selected database.
How do I pay for my Chameleon Mail account?
Our preferred payment method is Direct Debit using either a credit card or Australian bank account. Please contact us for more details.
Do I pay even if I don’t send any emails during a particular month?
Chameleon Mail is a subscription based system. Charges apply for database storage per month. Emails are charged per send, so if no emails are sent in the month you are only charged for database storage. Please see the Pricing page on the website.
What support do I receive as a Chameleon Mail client?
We offer email and phone support during business hours. Support is limited to technical support of the Chameleon Mail system.
